This tournament will report all scores into the DUPR rating system for the doubles brackets only. We will not be reporting scores from the MLP divisions. All players will be required to create a DUPR profile if they do not already have one. You may still enter the tournament even if you do not already have a DUPR rating.

PLEASE NOTE

  • You may only play in one division within a category. For example: You cannot play in men’s doubles 3.0 and men’s doubles 3.5.
  • If certain events to not get enough registrants, they may be combined with other divisions. If these changes are made, any registrant who does not want to remain in their division will be offered a refund.
  • If you and your partner are at different playing levels, you must play in the higher level.

GAME PLAY FORMAT

Each division will have pools of 5-8 teams. You will play each team in your pool once and top teams will advance to playoffs. You will be guaranteed at least 4 games. Depending on how many teams in your division, games be played to either 11 or 15, win by 2. There will not be any refs. All games including playoffs will be self-reffed.

MLP- MINOR LEAGUE PICKLEBALL

Minor League Pickleball is a unique team format in which teams of 4 compete against each other. A match consists of 4 individual doubles games with different partner pairings in each game. The team that wins the majority of the 4 games wins the match. If there is a tie and each won 2 of the games, a “dreambreaker” is played which is a singles match played to 21 with rally scoring and players from each team rotate in after every 4 rally points. The winner of the dreambreaker wins the match. For our co-ed divisions, the four games in a match include a men’s doubles, a women’s doubles, and 2 mixed doubles games. In our open MLP division, the partner match-ups can be any 4 unique partner pairings.

**When registering for the MLP events, you will register yourself. You will then be contacted directly at which point you will be asked to designate your teammates.

The Pride Cup Tournament welcomes players of any skill, gender, or sexuality, but the primary focus of this tournament is to represent the LGBTQ+ community in all capacities.
