It is my pleasure to welcome the International Gay and Lesbian Football Association (IGLFA) to The Pride Cup in Orange County, Florida, hosted by the KindRED Pride Foundation.

IGLFA’s dedication to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ participation in football is especially important in today’s world. Orange County, renowned for its sports-friendly
atmosphere, has previously hosted prestigious events such as the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup, 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and the 2023 Premier League Summer Series. We support our visiting athletes and recognize the significance of these matches in enhancing our local economy and enriching our quality of life. Events like these are an opportunity for us to showcase Orange County and Central Florida, keeping us in the top tier of the most visited tourist destinations in the world.

Orange County Government is committed to serving all residents and guests with integrity, honesty, fairness, and professionalism. Our community proudly reflects a broad diaspora of cultures, contributing to our collective strength. We take immense pride in building a diverse and inclusive community where every individual and organization is treated with dignity and respect.

Please be assured that our community values diversity and embraces inclusion. Hate is never welcome here. Orange County is a caring, compassionate, and welcoming community open to learning and connecting with others. On behalf of the more than 1.5 million residents who call Orange County home, we value your athletes’ decision to play in our community.

Once again, welcome, and I wish you all the best during The Pride Cup!
